Made using 100% recycled down and fabrics, the Lightline Eco Jacket furthers Mountain Equipment's commitment to developing highly functional insulated clothing that is produced responsibly. It sets a new benchmark for sustainable technical duvets by combining robust insulation, a water-resistant shell and a removable hood.

 

For insulation, Mountain Equipment reclaim the very best recycled duck down. Selected down is carefully processed to ensure continued performance and give their technical outdoor wear new life. A minimum 700-fill power recycled down is held in place by stitched-through baffle construction to optimise warmth and prevent down migration that can lead to cold spots, particularly in vulnerable areas such as the shoulders, chest and hood.

 

The highly water-resistant Drilite Loft outer fabric is 100% recycled, made from pre-consumer fabric offcuts, and treated with a perfluorocarbon-free water-repellency treatment to help shed light rain and snow. This lightweight fabric allows the down to loft to its full potential, providing maximum warmth while protecting against melting snow and spindrift. Drilite Loft offers complete wind resistance and excellent breathability, keeping you warm and comfortable even in the most severe conditions.

 

The regular Mountain fit is carefully designed to allow for effective layering while reducing unnecessary bulk that can feel restrictive, allowing for complete freedom of movement on technical terrain or when shouldering packs. An elasticated hem drawcord and adjustable cuffs seal out the cold and help fine-tune the fit. At the same time, the reliable two-way YKK moulded centre zip is resilient against ice build-up and is reinforced by an internal baffle to seal in heat.

 

The fully insulated hood with a wired peak provides an invaluable defence against the elements in severe conditions. It can be zipped off to reduce weight and pack size when necessary. Three down panels optimise the hood to fit around the head, and drawcords allow for easy additional adjustment, even with gloves on.

 

Internally, a zipped security pocket stores essentials, while two handwarmer pockets keep fingers toasty at camp or store items that require quick access when on the move.
